What type of change would happen if we had more positive social media? How can we encourage others to be positive instead of negative online? One way is through the Positive Social Media Challenge (PSMC). This event is an ongoing challenge that will allow you to touch the lives of those you are connected to online in a positive way.
The purpose of the Positive Social Media Challenge
I am an avid fan of social media, whether I'm sharing my knowledge, spreading inspiration, or just learning from others. One of the things that I try to do is be positive on social media so that I can have a beneficial impact on the world. Back in 2018, when I created the PSMC, I did it because it was a great way to share positivity and not negativity. Bringing others into the challenge is important because we could have a positive wave effect on the world.
According to the article “5 Ways You Can Make Social Media a Positive Force” by Hilary Achauer, “Social media can enhance your life, but it takes work to avoid common social media traps. Here are five ways to make social media a positive force in your life.”
- Set Your Intentions
- Let Go of the Negative
- Connect with Your Friends in Person
- Schedule or Limit Social Media Time
- Stop Lurking and Engage
I love these suggestions because they urge you to engage with others positively as well as encourage you to set positive social media intentions. How about you? Are you ready to jump into the Positive Social Media Challenge?
How does the Positive Social Media Challenge Work?
Great question and let's jump in and learn how it works and how you can take part in this challenge.
It's like when a pebble gets dropped in water, a series of wave occurs. Wouldn't it be great if we could drop a single positive message on social media and have a wave effect happen? To help get the wave going, I created a simple course that shares different ways that you can get involved. You can even learn how to create your own positive social media graphics which you can then share online.
